A word, a book challenge, day 11 - popcorn
The night circus by Erin Morgenstern
"After the circus departed, he wrote down every detail he could remember about it so it would not fade in his memory. The chocolate-covered popcorn. The tent full of people on circular raised platforms, performing tricks with bright white fire. The magical, transforming clock that sat across from the ticket booth, doing so much more than simply telling the time."
And when we talk chocolate-covered popcorn, I found a pretty delicious recipe in my search of popcorn-related quotes. A little bit too lazy and without all the ingredients I didn’t make them. But you can find it here.
I have bought a copy of this book last week in my hometown bookstore,it’s on sale tbh,but I think I can’t read it until this two following weeks since I’ve got a mid tests to be done!Huh!
Too many books and too little time!
Right now I’m looking for some information about ‘Coffee Ground For Fertilizer’ for my school biological project.I just read an article,it said Starbucks allow us to get coffee ground freely!I don’t know whether it’s true or not but I think It is really a great idea!
What’s the benefit of using coffee ground as fertilizer?
1.It helps us to cut the greenhouse effect!Coffee doesn’t produce CH4 (methane) as animal’s dirt does!
"To keep organics out of the landfill is a good thing for reducing greenhouse gas emissions because organics decompose and produce methane. Methane is about 25 times as bad as carbon dioxide, a greenhouse gas," said Dan Hurley, waste management engineer for Lane County’s Short Mountain Landfill.
2) Coffee ground contains nitrogen which is useful for plant’s growth
3)Many people think that coffee ground’s acidity is quite high, but actually if we wash it properly (the coffee ground),its acidity is just around Ph 6-7.
4) Some people also claim that coffee ground on the soil is a cat repellent!Ha!That’s good!*I hate cats*
5)You can also use coffee ground for worm food *iuh* if you do vermicomposting.
I’m really interested in this topic so I decided to take this for my project. But I still hesitate about a really important thing:
For which kind of plant this fertilizer is ?
If you have an idea about this, please send me a personal message,I will be really thankful!
